About
our jewelry….
All
the gemstones used at byJanet.com are natural, mined gemstones
carefully chosen for their beauty.
We do not use synthetic stones.
Many gemstones come in a wide variety of colors.
For instance, red rubies are only one of the many colors of
sapphire. Our center
stones are the biggest and brightest
and most exotic colored stones that we could obtain at
reasonable prices. Some
are set as solitaires to emphasize the beauty of a single gem.
Others have side stones or accent stones.
Many have been professionally enhanced to bring out their
beauty. We have searched the world’s mines for a wide variety of
colors and gem types for use in our original pieces.
Our
accent stones are in complementary or contrasting colors or are
clear (also known as “white”).
Several types of natural stones are found in white.
We seldom use diamonds because of their high cost. We feel that the same look can be achieved with other types
of sparkling, clear stones.
White
zircon (Not related to a cubic zirconia, which is a manmade fake –
we do not use fake stones) makes an excellent sparkling accent to
a colored center stone, as does white sapphire or white topaz.
Most
of our settings are solid gold or solid sterling silver.
Our pendants, earrings and sets are all unique creations.
All of our rings are solid gold and can be sized by a jeweler
to your custom fit. At
the present time we do not carry sterling silver rings because some
jewelers refuse to custom size them.
We also have one section of pieces in gold filled settings
for economy, and a section of jewelry for child and doll that offers
sterling and gold filled pendants.
Of course these pieces always contain genuine gemstones.
We
at byJanet.com hope you enjoy our jewelry made with colored
gemstones as much as we enjoy working with the gems.
We are positively gemstruck!
Of course, we hope you buy from us,
but in any case, as you scroll through the pictures, just
enjoy the wonder of the variety of sparkling colors and the natural
beauty of gemstones. They are definitely some of Nature’s best
work.
